This week is going to be LIT! Not only is The Lausanne Festival of Lights is back, but there are several pop-up Christmas markets and the first World Ice Skating Day hosted right here in Lausanne (December 4)! All of these events will surely get you in the festive spirit. Get your agenda, here is our curated list of events for the week:
- The Lausanne Festival of Lights is back this year from December 1 to 24, in a reduced format. The façades of 3 iconic buildings will be illuminated by unique creations, and the traditional swings will light up Place de la Louve.
- A Champagne tasting on Thursday night at Cépages sounds like the perfect opportunity to find great gift ideas or exceptional products for your festive menus.
Weekend
- On Saturday, in a warm musical atmosphere, the Beau-Rivage’s favourite producers and suppliers will be gathered for a unique Christmas market.
- A Christmas market at Station.24 and on called : both on Saturday.
- On advent Saturdays, Beaugarage in Vevey turns into a Santa’s market.
- For the first time ever, the sports world is gearing up to celebrate World Ice Skating Day. On December 4, grab your friends and family and glide on over to the Vaudoise Arena. With 3 different ice-skating rinks set up, Christmas-themed activities, free skating lessons, and even a disco party on the ice, there’s something for everyone in the family.
- On Sunday a special concert, Lumière et Origine, by l‘Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne.
