An oasis in the heart of the city, Les Jardins is one of those special places that you kind of want to keep for yourself. Nestled at the base of La Cité, the seasonal bar is a beautiful brainchild of the Restaurant le Vieux-Lausanne and Bar Giraf. With sweeping views of the city, it’s no wonder the tables scattered across the pebbled and overgrown garden fill up quickly as locals drink cocktails and share nibbles watching the sun dip below the cityscape and Alpine backdrop.
We went with friends, had a few drinks, and split some small bites. Their menu, though limited, is full of fun and tasty options like the potato wedges with homemade mayo infused with hints of basil (a must!), sesame honey chicken wings, and homemade hummus with crusty bread. The service was kind and the ambiance unbeatable.
Whether it’s for after-work drinks, a date night, friends gathering, or a family outing, Les Jardins is one of those perfect spots that make your heart swell and sing we live here. And what a beautiful place it is indeed.
