It’s beginning to feel like summer here in Lausanne and we’re loving it. This week we have incredible events happening: from lakeside cookouts to literature festivals, there’s something for everyone.
- Yoga on the deck this Tuesday from 9am-10am at Jetée de la Compagnie
- “The Great Brochette of the Lake” event is happening for Lausanne à Table. Head down to La Guinguette this Wednesday to have lamb roasted over an open fire and natural wines.
- Wondering what the future holds? Head to the TedX talk at La Cote International School where they invite different dynamic speakers about “Where Are We Heading?”
- Get your swing on this Thursday as Swingtime Lausanne pairs up with Quartier de Flon to have a Soirée Swing. Open to all.
- This Thursday, head to the History Museum of Lausanne (MHL) for a guided tour of their current exhibition “Borders: The Treaty of Lausanne”
- This Friday, celebrate the female winemakers of the region at the Fête des Vigneronnes at Place Alfred Stucky (next to Café de Grancy) from 5 pm.
- This weekend is for treasure hunters: the Brocante Lutry is back Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
- Book lovers unite! This weekend is the Festival de litterature jeunesse – the children’s literature festival in Vevey where they promise a fun-filled agenda of workshops, ateliers, games, and chances to meet authors and illustrators.
- This Saturday in Ouchy, local artisans will sell their handmade creations on the quai lakeside at the Sweet Market.
- Also this Saturday, head to Parc de Milan for a huge garage sale (or vide grenier)
- This Sunday, the Quartier de Flon is organising a Vide Dressing

The Lausanne Guide and Street Cellar are throwing their second annual ultimate summer soirée with friends from Jaya Prosecco!
Take a trip with us to the Italian Riviera this year where classic cocktails will be paired with traditional “coastal fare” aperitivo. On the menu are Negronis, Spritzes, and Sbagliatos, as well as a separate Prosecco and Bubbly Rosé Bar thanks to Jaya. Street Cellar is creating a special Mediterranan-inspired Apero menu for the occasion. A raffle will also take place featuring some of our favorite local businesses here in Lausanne. Tickets include:- A welcome glass of Jaya’s new Rosé Bubbles – 2 additional beverages of your choosing – Italian Street food “apertivo” (18h-19h30) from Chef Paul Mottaz- Live music – DJ – Raffle – Live Tattoo Artist – Lounge Area from Happy Picnic & Photo Booth from Happy Booth- A Lausanne Guide tote bag with local goodies A special event menu will also be available after the “Aperitivi” if you want to purchase more to eat or drink!After 10pm, the bar will open up to anyone for an afterparty with DJ and dancing all night long.
