We finally had a chance to swing by the newly opened Green Gorilla cafe on Rue du Grand-Pont here in Lausanne. It’s spacious, it’s friendly, and it’s…well, green. Though we’d prefer the verdant decor was made of real greenery instead of artificial plants, the aura and ambiance is definitely catering toward a calm and relaxed workspace environment. Large tables, free wifi, and lots of natural light make this spot a great option if you’re looking for a place to get some work done outside of the office.
The self-service bar fridge is packed full of healthy options for breakfast or lunch to-go (or sur place…though you still grab your food in the fridge). From açai bowls and fresh smoothies to superfood salads and avocado toast, there’s plenty to choose from and comfort in knowing it’s actually good for you.
Green Gorilla uses the local coffee brand Good Life Coffee, and the baristas definitely know what they’re doing. Our flat white was velvety, smooth, with a perfect balance of strength and creamy natural sweetness. Honestly, hard to find sometimes in Lausanne ????
If you’re looking for a non-fussy, healthy, yummy, spacious, and green spot–head to Green Gorilla. It’s great for working solo, meeting a friend, or grabbing something delicious and healthy on the go.
