Artea

We are currently writing this from a sweaty seat–the sun is radiating down on our laptop and all we can think about is 1) what would we give to jump in the lake right now and 2) can we justify a delivery of bubble tea if the cost of the livraison is more than the actual tea itself.

But alas. The forecast predicts warm weather and sunshine for the next couple of days, which has prompted us to share this special shop which converted us into bubble tea drinkers. Meet Artea.

Firstly, we’d like to confess that we used to hate bubble tea. We still don’t like tapioca balls (sorry, not sorry), so perhaps we can still say that we aren’t huge fans of the traditional bubble tea, which makes ArTEA all the more special.

Conceived by 3 “gourmet loving friends” who wanted to take the bubble tea experience to the next level, the founders firmly believed that brewing tea was an art in itself (hence the name “Artea”). They insist on using only the highest quality ingredients as well as artisanal brewing techniques, which speaks volumes when you take that first refreshing sip.

When you combine the technical factor with the innovative flavour offerings and fruit boba (they also have tapioca, don’t worry)–it’s a refreshing and delicious treat on a warm summer day.

Our favourite combination? Currently it’s the “Rose”, which consists of Jasmine Green tea, Rose Syrup, Dried Roses & Mango Boba. And they even have a caffeine free verbena option called the “Lea” for those who would prefer to skip the kick (or great for kids too!).

What are your thoughts on bubble tea? While we are HUGE fans of Artea, we’d love to see the entire bubble tea industry come up with some environmentally sustainable alternatives to the current packaging.
